yesh
and much much has happened since my last blog post.
australia was fantastic.
(ok im copying straight like a thread in Facebook)
on the plane there, there was this guy on my right who took off his shoes and had really ripe smelling feet, and the guy on my left was from australia so he went on and on about what i could do in australia. which is nice. but like my flight was at 9pm. which means the 7 hours on the plane is supposed to be sleeping time. but the airline served dinner and breakfast within that 7 hrs.
which is bizarre. and yesterday felt like the longest day ever! not because it sucked, but because i think i went to just so many places. omg. the weather is cold but i love it!
and omg the seagulls are damn DAMN funny. haha coz people sit EVERYWHERE to do stuff, elina and i sat on the grass to eat lunch (subway) and the seagulls just kept edging closer to us. i threw out a bit of bread AND A SWARM OF SEAGULLS ATTACKED THE SPOT WHERE I THREW THE BREAD. and then after that the seagulls just like kept chasing each other away. i threw a bit of tuna after a while and once again the same phenomena occured and one of the seagulls actually got super pissed and did some pissed off seagull dance. its SO funny. haha
OMG THERE ARE HALF NAKED PROTESTERS HERE!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
its DAMN funny. ok actually not. ok because like recently a melbourne cabbie got stabbed to death by some drunk passenger. and the guy was likeonly 24yrs old and still a student. he was like still studying and all? yeah so he died. and like 99% of the cabbie population here are indian/ sikh/ pakistani.
so they ALL gathered themselves and stood like at this MAJOR junction of the trams and just stood there. blocking traffic. blocking tram services. and they even took of their tops in protest, despite the below 10 degrees weatherish.
and they didnt look THAT fantastic topless. but i guess its cool. i was only on the scene after they put on their clothes. haha but i've got lots of photos of them protesting (:
its quite cool lah. considering like singapore you cant protest. and even if the government says that you have to apply for a permit to protest, i mean, they are the one who can reject you know? they're the ones who say "if you wanna protest you can. just ask for permission" and when you ask for permission, they're like "fuck no. you're mad or something?" you know? oh well
and like 2 days after the killing, like there was this motor boat freak accident where 5 people were killed and 9 injured. its INSANE lah. the rate that people die here. i guess because like apparently they were like joy riding and shit. and they collided with some other boat? and they got plummeted into the freezing water. and died. ): its mad lah. i dont think their headlights were on you know? and they were like boating at 6am in the morning, dont have sun yet.
and apparently elina said that they always report deaths on the tv one. just not international students who get killed, which is quite often. ))))):
omg. haha
and like the news have like live reporters at the death scene and shit lor. and i must tell you. the morning news is DAMN FUNNY. they cock up on live tv and just laugh it off one lah! its so stupid! haha so if you wanna watch serious news, only at night have. you know?
and their commercials very funny one. got a lot fo animals. people singing. and the works. really cool to watch.
and they have like french movies at night with like full frontal nudity. its slightly disturbing.
thank god for like chinese superstores! im craving for spicy stuff! the spicy maggie mee i bought at the big big superstore is NOT SPICY! cheat my feelings!! and like they dont really have super spicy food here. and i miss home cooked food really bad. ): coz my family cooks super spicy food. i miss McSpicy. i miss Nasi Lemak. i miss Laksa. )))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))):
this is bad. this means. I MUST LEARN HOW TO COOK! COOK SICY STUFF! so if i go overseas, i can cook my own spicy shit (:
and elina's cooking is really good! its really simple, you know, just salt and pepper to fish but it tastes good!! (:
and i realised living on your own in a foreign country means these points:
1) you cant overspend your money on frivalous shit. unless you shower with cash.
2) you have to pay for your own electric bills and water bills. something i have NEVER done in ALL my life. i dont even know how a BILL looks like. and sometimes when you use too much lights, the electricity bill will go up lah. and etc.
3) you might have to do your own cooking. because food outside costs at least $5 for something decent, and $5 a meal for the whole month is PRICEY. when you can buy a 3kg head of cauliflower for $2.20 and eat that for a week long worth of meals. not bad eh? (THAT HEAD OF CAULIFLOWER WE GOT A VICTORIA MARKET IS MASSIVE!!)
4) you have to do your own laundry. and you have to seperate the colours from the white. something else i ddint know because i have eleves at home to do it. (omg im starting to sound like some major spoilt brat)
5) you have to clean your place up yourself. which is KINDA a pain, not that i should complain you know since im just crashing and not living there for long term for studies. i mean, if you're really busy with studying and all, or exhausted from all the studying, where do you get the energy to clean, vacuum, wipe, dust, tidy, wash, scrub the whole place (including the TOILET).
6) social life? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
i think thats all i learnt for now. if i think of something else. i'll write some more.
OH WAIT!
elina and i watched this FANTASTIC SHOW last night. its called 'ollie and the minotaur' and like, it didnt have like a really response. but it was fantastic. the 3 leads were so real. but the sad thing is because there are SO MANY plays in melbourne, that you usually dont know which one to go to. so usually these kinda good shows' success depends on the word of mouth. and like students from vca get discounts for these shows (you have to tell them a pasword which is so fun! haha).. but they dont always go for shows, because like shows are generally $18-$30 i guess. we got our tickets at $12, which is a bargain. the show was so emotional and real. the actresses were fantastic. i cannot stop gushing about it. haha (:
and SOMEONE STOLE ALLLLLL MY UNDERWEAR!! 3 PAIRS OF BRA! then i had to alternate my remaining 2 underwear ))))):
ok
so the places i went to like were lygon street (fantastic italian food after you filter out all the not very nice ones), camberwell market..
OH YES. ok there is a sunday market at camberwell that well opens only every sunday. and they sell like second hand goods which are like CRAZY! i mean like now its like autumn there. so people are getting rid of all their old clothes like summer clothes. (which means good thing for me).. it was so exciting exploring what people had to sell. towards the end of the market like at around 1pm or so, prices went crazy! haha people were selling clothes for like $2 or 50cents. people even threw out stuff they didnt want to lug back and just said 'THINGS IN THIS STACK FOR FREE! FREE!!!' haha omg. i bought this paul frank tube dress for like $2. i saw the original screenplay for 'romeo+juliet' which leonardo dicarprio starred in. and i was like OMG i really want that but it was going $25. and i was shit. im on a BUDGET!! and elina bought like a purse for 50cents.. the handle was busted but that can fix. and like when she opened there was like a ticket from an opera that was from like the 1970s!!! HOW COOL IS THAT!
then we went to st kilda's beach on another day. omg. the beach is damn damn damn nice. there is this amusement park beside it which is like EXPENSIVE. its $7 a ride and the rollar coaster was on maintanence. but the cotton candy was like HUMONGOUS!! haha and it was like $3. but HUMONGOUS. yup. and they have fantastic cakes there. really pretty looking. and delicious. the fish and chips there are really good as well. haha omg everything there tastes good. so st kilda's was really good. the sights were fantastic. it was really windy and cold, but really nice. i could have sat there forever. after sitting on the beach, elina and i dug a really deep hole and threw some stuff in. we're going to dig it up i think the next time we're there (:
and finally. queen victoria market. its like the coolest market ever. i went there with elina once and i just went siao lah. i bought 2 jackets coz i was cold there for like $28 altogether. they sell so many things! like stuff with free engraving. kangaroo fur. underwear. lingerie. costumes. trinkets. little cards. it was just so much to see.
did i say its like super big assed and like they have a fresh meat and seafood section and a fresh food section and like a cooked food section
the fresh meat and seafood are like super fresh. and cheap. the meat there is really really cheap.
the fresh fruit and vegetable also very cheap. haha. i bought this HUMONGOUS head of cauliflower for $2.20. haha omg lah

im doing data entry now.
at citbank.
where im blocked off from the world wide web and the actual world from 8.30am to 5.30pm where im nly allowed an hours grace to run away and be free. except that it being at raffles place and raffles place being THE central district aka OFFICE buildings, i dont see how free i can be.
i hate the morning rush. the wolf-like pushing and shoving. i hate the evening rush. the wolf like pushing and shoving. and i keep getting on the train on the wrong side. its not that i dont check. i do. but i forget whether tanjong pagar is towards boon lay or pasir ris. like today. i got on the train at raffles place, planning to go to city hall and bus back home. i took the train going towards boon lay, so the next stop was tanjong pagar. and i realised i was stuck. i politely excused my way through but still got stuck. someone actually said quietly 'just shove your way out'. but i did manage to politely excuse my way out with a smile.
and things i have learnt:
1) during peak hours keep left on escalators. the right side of the escalators are reserved for people who want to chiong up the escalator.
2) there is always free newspaper for grabs during morning rush and lunch break. and no one says thank you when they viciously grab the newspaper without a smile.
3) people actually seriously in reality reserve places at foot courts, hawkers centres and even at Burger Kind, with their tissue packet. i kid you not.
4) hawkers can just open from 11am and go home at 3pm and earn as much as if they have been working the whole day.
5) there is surprisingly inexpensive food at raffles place. chicken rice costs $2.50, cai fan rice with 3 dishes cost $2. a large large cup fo sugar cane is $1.60. its slightly insane really
ok fine i kinda like my new job, because i learn like how to use excel, and they're like not too anal about things, and i do like menial work like copy pasting a million stuff some one worksheet to another. which is a pain. but its alright coz its just filling in time until i fly off to vist elina in melbourne. just right 3 more weeks for my jobs (:
oh yes.
PLEASE COME AND WATCH MY SHOW:
yeah im acting like a real role in it. im the forelady. (:
and i have another audition this weekend, sat at laselle. its for short+sweet so i hope i get it, though it doesnt pay. hope i get to work with an awesome director (:
and i was randomly thinking on the bus, that if there was a chewing gum competition that to win, you had to say why u deserve to win a life time supply of chewing gum and the winner with the best answer wins.
and if the guy asks me, i would say "well i involuntarily had to give up chewimg gum in place of laws that banned chewing gum, tree climbing without a licsence, selling lemonade on your front lawn without a licsence, visting prostituition but not the occupation and crazy education systems and a g********* that is going through a identity crisis because it sure aint hell democrat*c"
im sure i'll get that life time supply of chewing gum.
thats all for my update for now.

why is it so hard.
today's the second last day of school work for me.
and i think one of the most memorable thing that i took back was a phone call from one of the boy i teach. he was attacked by another smaller sized boy and got stomach flu and was hospitalized. lets call the boy CW. so CW is smart but i guess a bit slow and does normal naughty boy stuff.. like chasing and everything.. from what i saw.. CW was a bad as the smaller sized boy lets name BULLY.
but the father of CW called me, concerned. because apparently BULLY,is a bully, and when i told his mother that CW was like BULLY coz he ran around in class and all, the father was extremely concerned. we had a chat.. and there was something he said that struck me very hard.
he told me that maybe CW's grades are not so good, never mind. but its more important that his character is good.
and now. where i have reached a major road block in my life, where my parents tell me to follow my passion one sec and the other sec to do something practical and then go on to tell me that i have no mental strength.. i wish my parents had shown more concern about me and my life and not just my grades..
my dad told me that the more accomplished the family was, the less choices the children of the family have in life.
and im like wtf. and he's not going to help with my uni app to UBC becuase he feels that i dont deserve it. he thinks that im not passionate about theatre enough, and when i say that i am, he says that i should think of practicality.. and then when i tell him my back up plan, he tells me that i wont be passionate about it enough to go far in life with it..
im upset and confused. what the fuck do they want from me?

the kite making
was i suppose the coolest thing ever happened to them for the kids
but for me
it was a nightmarish 2 and a half hour with 29 yelping voices asking me for help, what to do and to hurry up
well
i guess i cant blame them for not knowing that the action of tying a knot is called tying a knot.. or dont understand what is fold half and cut.. even though i demonstrated to them
but their kites look like kites.. i just have to save it a lil so that the kites can fly next mon when we bring it for a test fly..
today during assembly they were singing this song.. "its i, its i, its i who build a community" that song
and theres this boy from the class behind mine who kept singing'community' as 'amuniny'..
and i kinda contemplated whether to correct him or not.. and then eventually did.. he slapped his forehead with his hand and kinda went 'oohhh'.. and repeated 'community' under his breath a couple of times.. but when they sang the song again.. he went back to singing 'amuniny'.. haha omg lah.. oh well..
